Whampoa Station is located beneath the busy streets of one of the largest private housing estates in Hong Kong.  The station design has adopted a single platform layout served by two independent concourse areas and it includes a combination of independent and integrated entrances with limited retail facilities to provide convenient and easy access for the Whampoa residents.
