Cost Management, Project Management
Outram Community Hospital is a new community hospital co-located with Singapore General Hospital. Situated at Outram Park area, along Jalan Bukit Merah / Eu Tong Seng St., it supports the healthcare needs at the southern part of Singapore. The completion of this facility just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit Singapore has provided much relief in providing additional bedspaces and care facilities in managing the pandemic.
The uniqueness of this project is in the integration between a new hospital and Singapore General Hospital’s existing infrastructure. Linkages to this new hospital is via a public/patient link bridge and a new network of underground tunnels constructed along existing road, next to the historical Bowyer Block and connecting in to SGH existing tunnel system.
