Mural Art Competition

PRE-REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED

As part of the company’s employee engagement activities, Asia Infrastructure Solutions would like to invite the family including nephews and nieces of our staff to participate in designing a wall mural for our new office at Bugis Junction Towers.

The theme of the artwork will be in line with the company’s vision of “Delivering the Future”. As children represent our future, we thought it would be a great idea to find out:

1. how they see Singapore now and
2. how they imagine Singapore might be in the future.

Contestants are required to submit 2 pieces of artwork.

Artwork 1: What does Singapore mean to you now?
Artwork 2: What do you think Singapore will be like in the future or what would you like Singapore to be like in the future?

Design Guidelines

Must be original artwork of the person(s) named on the entry form.
Happy, uplifting, inspiring and colourful with bold colours.
No advertisements, logos or copyrighted images.
Keep the pieces relevant to Singapore, e.g. Singapore culture, Singapore skyline, iconic Singapore buildings, Singapore food, etc. Examples of Singapore’s icons and buildings are the Merlion, HDB flats, Changi Airport, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Sports Hub, MRT, the national flower Vanda Miss Joaquim, etc. Examples of Singapore food are chicken rice, roti prata, teh tarik, durian, laksa, fishball noodle, chilli crab, etc.
May include fun text in the artwork such as (1) Food for Thought; (2) You are Teh-rifik; (3) Re-Laksa; (4) Shiok, etc.

Artwork Specifications

Size: A3 (42cm x 29.7cm)
Image Orientation: 2 x landscape format artwork. 1 x depicting “Singapore Today” and 1 x depicting the “Singapore in the Future”
The submitted artworks need to be in the same style. For example, if artwork 1, being “Singapore Today” is in a comic style, then artwork 2, being “Singapore in the Future” needs to be in the same comic style with the same colour scheme.
We accept traditional paintings on canvas or art paper using crayon, water colour, acrylic paints or oil paints; and high-resolution digital art using software such as Procreate or Illustrator.

Eligibility

Age Group: 4 to 18 years old.
Open to family members including children, siblings, nephews and nieces of Asia Infrastructure Solutions staff.

Prize

1^stPrize: age-appropriate art tools and materials from Faber Castell worth over S$500
2^nd Prize: age-appropriate art tools and materials from Faber Castell worth over S$300
3^rd Prize: age-appropriate art tools and materials from Faber Castell worth over S$200

Submission Requirements

Pre-registration is required. Please complete and submit this form by 23 February 2023.
Digital entries are to be submitted to SGMarketingCommunications@asiainfrasolutions.com. Traditional painted artworks are to be delivered to: Asia Infrastructure Solutions Singapore, 1 Magazine Rd, #05-01 Central Mall, Singapore 059567. Attn: Marketing Communications Department

All entries must reach us by 11:59pm, Sunday, 12 March 2023.
A maximum of 2 submissions (comprising 2 artwork items each), are permitted per participant.
Winning participants will be notified via email by Friday, 17 March 2022.

Evaluation Criteria

Relevance to Singapore and the design brief
Creativity
Suitability for reproduction/enlargement onto the new office café wall

Panel of Judges

The panel of judges comprises members of the office relocation project.
The panel of judges will inspect all entries submitted and will score and collectively decide on the top three winners.
All decisions made by the panel of judges, including but not limited to the eligibility, disqualification and selection of any / all artwork is subject to the judges’ discretion, which shall be final and binding on all participants. No appeals will be entertained.

Ownership Rights

Once the artwork is completed, the artist should sign and state the date of his / her design on the back of the artwork (or in the email if digital art is submitted).
Any submitted artwork may be used for our Asia Infrastructure Solutions promotional and/or marketing purposes.
By submitting your children’s artwork, you agree that Asia Infrastructure Solutions will be the exclusive owner of the artwork.
