Prioritising Well-Being and Mental Health

Global Scholarship Program

At our firm, we are deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and we proudly demonstrate this commitment through the Tony Shum Scholarship Program. Established in 2019, and named after our co-founder and Chairman in Asia of GISI, Tony Shum, this scholarship embodies our dedication to nurturing a diverse generation of civil engineering talent. The program is specifically designed to support aspiring civil engineers from various backgrounds, helping them pursue academic excellence and develop their skills. By investing in these young talents, we aim to foster an inclusive environment that not only encourages innovation and growth but also reflects the diverse world in which we operate. Through the Tony Shum Scholarship, we are building bridges across communities, empowering students to achieve their full potential and lead the way in the field of civil engineering.

In parallel with our efforts, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) has launched the Tony Shum Education Fund. Founded concurrently with our scholarship, the Fund shares our vision of educational empowerment. It is dedicated to advancing the educational journey of students in the Department of Civil Engineering at HKU. The Fund is set to be a cornerstone for academic growth, earmarking resources to enhance the department’s facilities. Its goals are ambitious yet vital: from upgrading laboratory equipment, computers, and software, to refurbishing the labs and studios that serve as the crucible for student innovation. Moreover, it extends a lifeline of financial support to students in need, ensuring that financial barriers do not impede the intellectual and professional growth of talented engineers-to-be.

Together, the Tony Shum Scholarship and the Education Fund are more than financial aids—they are bridges to opportunity, laying the foundation for a new generation of civil engineering leaders poised to take the reins of progress in an ever-evolving world.

Celebrating Cultural Diversity at AIS​

Asia Infrastructure Solutions has an open culture. We encourage and support people who speak up when they witness or believe that behaviors, processes, or systems do not promote an inclusive culture.

We take all potential incidents seriously and we want to know what our people are experiencing so that we can ensure we are all working towards an inclusive culture.

If a person experiences or witnesses perceived bias or discrimination of any sort, we ask that you speak to your line manager in the first instance if you feel able to do so. If this is not possible for whatever reason, we ask that you speak to someone senior in your team or contact your Business Unit HR Business Partner.
