About the Project
The project involves reclaiming 387ha of land using dredged material, excavated materials and sand for the development of port land.
Client Need
The client needed to reclaim land on time for the container terminal operations and to create a dumping capacity for the disposal of excavated materials from construction activities in Singapore. There was also a need to optimise the limited land created for multiple land usage.
Our Role
AIS-Hill provided a high level of geotechnical engineering expertise to enhance the stability of the reclaimed platform while accelerating the consolidation process of the underlying soft alluvial soils, which would normally take years to complete to less than 6 months. We also provided advice on both technical and contractual matters, including site supervision throughout the project.
