Project Description
Spanning 7.2 km through the oil palm plantation area of Kg. Hang Tuah, Tangkak, Johor, the Kg. Hang Tuah–Sagil Road provides an important connection between Kg. Hang Tuah and State Road FT23 (Muar–Tangkak–Segamat).
The project involved the upgrading and widening of the existing road, together with the construction of culvert crossings and three bridges, providing a safer, smoother and more efficient route for road users.
Today, the completed road is being enjoyed by the local community, making daily journeys more convenient and improving access to surrounding areas. More than just a road, it connects people, places, and opportunities.
Our Role
Asia Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) provided multidisciplinary design and engineering services throughout the project, working closely with stakeholders to develop practical, effective engineering solutions.
A key part of our work was using BIM technology to support the selection of the optimal road alignment. The assessment considered engineering requirements alongside construction cost, land acquisition, environmental sensitivity and stream crossings, helping to achieve a practical and sustainable solution.
Throughout the project, our team focused on safety, constructability and long-term performance, while meeting the required technical and operational standards.
The project was successfully completed within the approved budget, reflecting the team’s commitment to effective planning, technical excellence and responsible cost management.
We are proud to have contributed to an infrastructure project that makes a meaningful difference to the community—connecting people, improving journeys and supporting the region’s growth.
