Project Description
The Hong Kong International Airport Logistics Park in Dongguan and the Airside Intermodal Air Cargo Handling Facility at Hong Kong International Airport are pivotal initiatives aimed at enhancing sea-air cargo transshipment between Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This aligns with the goals set in the 2022 Policy Address. The Airside facility utilizes advanced technology to optimize cargo flow, further cementing Hong Kong’s status as a leading logistics hub.
This project marks the introduction of Hong Kong’s first automated cargo handling system. Positioned in the world’s leading international air-cargo hub, the initiative is a pilot scheme that features one-stop customs clearance and fully automated technology, accelerating the transshipment process and affirming Hong Kong’s role as a logistics leader.
