Climate Risk Assessment
About the Project
AIS-Hill provided a high-level climate risk assessment to evaluate the physical climate risks (flooding, coastal inundation, extreme heat, forest fire, subsidence, extreme wind and freeze-thaw) for a portfolio of four assets in Japan.
Outcome & Achievements
AIS-Hill predicted the physical climate risks up to year 2100 based on a conservative climate change scenario (RCP 8.5). The hazards analysed include riverine and pluvial flooding, coastal inundation, extreme heat, forest fire, subsidence due to drought, extreme wind and freeze-thaw damage.
A desk-top research was undertaken on site-specific climate risk data to verify the level of risks predicted by the climate model and provided the client with the information needed for their decision-making,
