SP Chin

Executive Director

SP Chin (Chin Sai Ping) is the Executive Director at Asia Infrastructure Solutions, bringing with him a wealth of over 30 years of experience in the Buildings and Infrastructure sector. His extensive career has seen him excel in roles such as Project Manager, Design Team Leader, and Key Designer on multiple high-profile, multidisciplinary projects in Hong Kong and other major global cities, including Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and the United States. SP has been instrumental in delivering numerous award-winning projects, both private and public, across these regions.

His diverse expertise spans various facets of Project Management and Engineering, encompassing Railway, Infrastructure, Design & Build, Education & Institution, Residential & Commercial, Data Centre & Telecommunication, Heritage, Energy, Resources, and Water projects. SP’s commitment to the industry is evident through his active participation in various roles with the HKIE, Technical Groups for the Buildings Department, and as a member of APSEC (Authorised Persons, Registered Structural Engineers, and Registered Geotechnical Engineers Committee). He currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the HKIE Structural Division.

SP’s significant project involvements include over 40 railway stations in Hong Kong for MTR, Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2, the Airport APM Depot, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Building, the Lam Tin to Tseung Kwan O tunnel Ventilation and Administration Buildings, HATS Stage 2A Area M3 Sewerage Treatment Plant and Administration Building at Stonecutters Island, and the Kong Ha Wai Transitional Housing Project, which is the largest transitional housing project utilizing Modular Integrated Construction (MiC).

SP Chin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Tufts University in USA.
