Billy Wong

Asia Advisory Board Director,

Prior to joining GISI Asia as an Advisory Board Director, Billy was the Chairman (Singapore) and Regional Executive (Southeast Asia) at AECOM, a fully integrated infrastructure and support services firm providing professional technical and management support services to clients globally in key markets such as transportation, infrastructure, environmental, energy, oil & gas, water, high-rise buildings and government. As Regional Executive for Southeast Asia, Billy led a diversified team of close to 2000 staff across 8 countries, charting strategic growth for the organization through partnering with public and private clients. Billy brings nearly three decades of leadership experience to this role and has worked on development projects of various types, sizes, complexities and procurement arrangements across Asia.

Billy began his career in the United Kingdom before returning to Singapore to head the Singapore practice of legacy KPK in 1983. Through merger and acquisition, legacy KPK was rebranded as Davis Langdon KPK, an AECOM company. Throughout his career, Billy has developed a network of international contacts with global corporate clients in a broad range of markets sectors, which include commercial real estate, residential, education, healthcare, infrastructure, sports, hospitality, leisure and culture, transportation, industrial, and energy.

Billy was an Accredited Mediator, Evaluator and Adjudicator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, a member of the Contracts Advisory Panel with the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore and a member of the Contracts Committee with the Singapore Institute of Architects.

In addition, he is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers. He was a Fellow of Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Society of Project Managers. He was also a member of the Panel of Arbitrators with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.
