Hong Kong, November 27, 2024 – Asia Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) is proud to share that our BIM-based RPA solution was demonstrated on a global stage at the prestigious TechFest Awards 2024 in London. This award recognises teams that harness technology to drive efficiency and productivity in the design stages of a project through automation, digitalisation, and process improvement, delivering innovations that transform the construction and civil engineering industry.
We are proud to have been selected among the top 10 shortlisted submissions in the “Best Use of Technology: Design Efficiency” category. AIS’ entry comprises a novel approach to address the growing demand in the engineering market by establishing human-machine synergy. We utilise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to seamlessly connect Building Information Modelling (BIM) with engineering analysis software, enabling automatic design checking for compliance with various codes of practice. The integration of RPA and BIM streamlines the design process and has been successfully implemented in real-life projects, resulting in a tenfold increase in design efficiency compared to the manual approach. The time saved is redirected towards optimising designs and developing customised options for clients, increasing client satisfaction. Our development showcases the practicality and effectiveness of the BIM-based RPA design approach and its potential to drive advancements in engineering practice.
