Join AIS Malaysia as a Civil Lead, delivering civil engineering design, coordination, and execution across multiple infrastructure projects. This role drives technical quality, timely delivery, and compliance with industry standards, and contributes to strong leadership and effective coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil engineering design and project execution activities
- Oversee planning, design review and technical coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes and safety standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and reports
- Monitor project progress, budgets and timelines
- Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and technical presentations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in civil or infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate or equivalent is highly preferred
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in managing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of relevant design standards, codes and engineering best practices
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage and utilities
- Familiarity with authority submission processes and coordination with regulatory bodies
- Experience in BIM delivery and a willingness to embrace digital innovation in civil/infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure
