The Role
You’ll work on real, large-scale infrastructure and institutional projects, including airports, transit systems, and public facilities, with genuine involvement in design development from early concept through construction documentation. You will work closely with our project architects as part of a collaborative team that actively uses the latest design technologies.
What We Offer
- Exposure to major public infrastructure projects across Hong Kong, working alongside experienced engineers and architects on complex, high-impact work.
- A genuine opportunity to shape design from concept through to construction.
- Hands-on use of generative AI and computational design tools, with active investment in technology as a core part of how we work.
- Support towards professional registration.
- A collaborative team culture built around shared expertise and mutual support.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural design from concept through to construction documentation, under the direction of our project architects and Technical Director.
- Participate in day-to-day coordination with engineers and specialist sub-consultants, maintaining project records, correspondence and design documentation.
- Prepare and check statutory submission drawings and documents in accordance with the Buildings Ordinance, PNAP suite, and relevant government standards, including GBP and ACABAS submissions.
- Produce presentation materials, drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation to the required quality and programme.
- Incorporate sustainability and resilience considerations into design development, in line with AIS’s commitment to delivering sustainable, future-ready infrastructure.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and client presentations.
- Use generative AI and AI-powered design agent platforms in design development, including image generation tools and agentic AI tools for design exploration and documentation.
- Set up and customise AI design workflows using node-based tools (e.g. ComfyUI) and parametric modelling environments (e.g. Grasshopper).
- Contribute to the practice’s technology initiatives, including workflow documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.
