Hong Kong, October 02, 2026 – Asia Infrastructure Solutions has reached a significant technical milestone by securing pre-acceptance from the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), Hong Kong SAR Government Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) to use GeoStudio SLOPE3D in man-made slope design. This pre-acceptance enables the application of the software in public works projects.
At the LPM Forum on 24 September 2026, Dr. Alex Leung shared how 3D slope stability analysis can complement conventional 2D assessments by better capturing complex geometries, variable ground conditions and potential failure mechanisms.
This milestone reflects AIS’s commitment to applying advanced 3D design software to enhance the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of slope engineering.
